Any other frustrated artists out there? I am ready to paint and never seem to find the time. Sometimes I question whether I am an artist. This blog is dedicated releasing this artistic frustration. I have been waiting for the perfect time to get in my painting studio and start creating, but building a house, having a baby and a business have taken priority. HA!...there is no perfect time.
THE CHALLENGE
For the month of March 2008 I'm challenging myself to crawl into my creative side and feel what it is like to live an artist's life every day. I am going to paint and create every day and post it to this blog. Check in to see the good, the bad and the ugly. I know it's going to be interesting when this artistic frustration comes out to play.
THE STUDIO
First, I have to clean and organize. (see pic) I haven't been in my studio for over a year. I decided to start this challenge off by documenting the "before" and "after preparation. Environment is very important to me. I'm particular about the light, the colors, the smell, the comfort of it all. Plus, I like to putz...as I call it. I putz around until I feel ready and then I create like a whirlwind. One day I painted seven paintings in three hours. It seemed like I was there for days and some fantastic art came out of it.
I'm excited and nervous to start tomorrow. See you then!
